Eugene C. Moscovitch, Esq.

My mediation style is a good match for PMA. While others credit my strong work ethic, result-focused tenacity and positive attitude, for my having achieved an extraordinary rate of settlement, I prefer to believe that it is rooted in my strong desire to be of service to the parties and my genuine love for the mediation process itself.

Biography

Eugene C. Moscovitch successfully settled well over 1,250 matters during his twelve years of full time dispute resolution.  His wealth of practical knowledge, insight and experience from his many successful years as a trial lawyer, and many hundreds of mediations, make him one of the most sought after mediators in Southern California. He has developed a specialty in handling employment harassment and discrimination cases, wage & hour class actions and civil rights matters, although he welcomes the challenge of any commercial litigation or traumatic personal injury case.

Prior to his experience in dispute resolution, Mr. Moscovitch worked at Wyman, Bautzer, Rothman & Kuchel from 1973 to 1975, after which he worked for the Office of the Federal Public Defender, Central District of California (1975 to 1979) as a Senior Trial Attorney.  In 1980, he started the Law Offices of Eugene C. Moscovitch, during which time he was also an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Law.  From 1985 to 1989 he worked at Lewis, D' Amato Brisbois, & Bisgaard, was of-counsel from 1990 to 1992  at Becker, Shoenfield & Wennegren, and a partner at Charleston, Reich and Williams until 1999, when he became a full-time Mediator at Alternative Resolution Center (ARC), and later ADR Services.

Mr. Moscovitch has participated in many MCLE presentations, lectured frequently at local Law Schools and before the leading plaintiff and defense organizations, as well as the State and County Bars. He  has been profiled numerous times by the  Los Angeles Daily Journal, including "Sprinting Home" (September 19, 2000), "Settling Up" (September 22, 2003) and "For Century City Mediator, It's All About Timing" (September 7, 2007). Further publications and roundly acclaimed tutorials re “Maximizing your Client’s results at Mediation”,as well as  his full CV, and literally hundreds of attorney references, can be easily reviewed at his PMA-linked website at www.moscovitchmediation.com.

Mr. Moscovitch earned his BA from Whittier College in 1968, and his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 1973. He has also taken courses at Pepperdine’s Strauss Institute. He has been mediating full-time since 1999, consistently acknowledged as a “Super-lawyer” and by “Best Lawyers” in the field of ADR since the inception of those programs, and selected to serve by his peers on the Board of Governors of the International Academy of Mediators. He has also been officially recognized by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of California’s Top Mediators.
